Acknowledgement: This internship provided me a platform to work with highly qualified individuals who opened up new avenues of learning for me. This internship would not have been the same without the enthusiasm and vigor provided by Sir Sarfaraz Kazmi (Regional Director Lahore) and Ma’am Shumail Rana whose behavior was outstanding. Her guidance and dedication helped us refine our Report. I would like to thank them for broadening my views regarding different issues of woman like Sexual harassment, child abuse, Early child marriage, Rape victims, Youth issues and much more .Their valuable knowledge helped me gain a better grasp on the subject which has helped me understand myself as an idviual in society better. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank RAHNUMA ( FPAP) for providing me this chance to enhance my skills and career as well. They helped me a lot and I would like to thank for my warm welcome and guiding me throughout this internship.

Internship weekly report

First day at Rahnuma is orientation about NGO motives, functions and programs explain by Mrs,Shumail Rana . She is the youth officer in this NGO. She elaborates the main features of Rahnuma NGO. She elaborates that Rahnuma is the largest NGO in which there is no refusable policy. Every human can come here for his problems. This NGO is working on many issues like Rape victims, sexual harassment,child abuse,early child marriage, transgenders and many other social issues of woman. Next day she took us to Sir Sarfaraz Kazmi office. He is the Regional Director in Rahnuma. He took short interview in which he asked about our Gender studies subject. He asked us different questions regarding our future and career. He was such a nice person. He gave us an orientation in which they talked about the mission of FPAP. Next day Mrs.Shumail took us to Youth Friendly Space. She told us about her GUSO project. She gave IEC ( Information, Education and Communication) material which was very informative and helpful to us. These ICE material consist of followimg subjects: Children health and education Basic Human Rights Sustainable development goal Prevention and safe measures of HIV AIDS Next day she discussed about the training and workshops programs with us. We had a session with Sir Sarfaraz Kazmi where he gave us knowledge about current issues and aware us from our surroundings. He advised us to read books. Next day she asked us about IEC material and asked us different questions about it. She asked us to assign duties in the hospital. She gave usinformation on her project with Sir Umar and we had a huge conversation on her GUSO (GET UP SPEAK OUT) project.

learning:

We learn how to safe us from HIV diseases. We learn how to safe children from sexual abuse and child abuse. They gave us enough knowledge in the first week. In this way we completed our first week of internship in Rahnuma....
