Gun control is a highly conversed topic due to the occurrences of school shootings as well as multiple other occurrences throughout the United States And many people also have their own belief with gun control following the 2nd amendment right as well as the impact it makes on the criminal justice system. Many people also are unclear about what gun control really is. Law enforcement also have an opinion on it as well since in their field of work they do use guns. Gun control is not just bye-bye to all guns it’s a restriction to who can buy and sell guns With the second amendment right being the right to bear arms many people believe that this is a right to allow people to have guns although it’s not a right to have an unlimited supply of types of guns. Guns have caused a lot of issues within schools and within homes as well. With gun control laws there could be more preventative measures to reduce the amount of deaths. There are many alternatives to gun control as well. Background checks, Raising the age limit to buying guns, banning assault weapons, having red flag laws, and arming teachers. These could be other alternatives to banning all guns. Gun control also has been a talked about topic in the past and still is today.
