Description

iOLab device application installation guide for students The iOLab device is a wireless unit that can be used to conduct Physics experiments from anywhere: a dorm room, a classroom, or any space beyond. The device requires free download of iOLab's associated software for Windows or Mac. Beta versions of web-based software are also available for Chromebooks and Linux machines. iOLab devices require a USB Type-A port (most common USB port). Computing devices with a USB Type-C will require an adapter.

Note that if you are using Windows 10 or above, installing drivers is not required. The procedure for Windows 7 and 8 computers is provided on the weblink here. Software download instructions can also be found on the same link. For Mac users, please follow the instructions on the weblink here. Step 2: Run iOLab application Plug the device's dongle into the USB port and open the iOLab application. A screen should pop-up and appear as shown in Figure 2. Turn on the iOLab remote using the power button. Make sure your remote is successfully paired with the dongle.
