1. What approaches to the job enrichment are utilized at eBay? Margaret Whitman, the chief executive (CEO) of eBay, used methods of motivating her employees, because a well-motivated work force will almost always help a company grow faster than one that is lackadaisical or unmotivated. And also she decided to use a cooperation with workers to reach a success of a company. 2. What is the content of these methods? (explain the essence of these methods) In my opinion, the contents of the motivating and cooperating methods lie in the contend model, it is considered the most significant item in management and leadership. It is said, that Margaret hired experienced personnel from main departments to fill key senior positions. Since many of them had functioned in old economy era, she made it a point to remind them of the differences between other traditional businesses and eBay. All were well-informed about the Internet and eBay’s mission and objectives so that they could apply lessons learnt from their respective fields effectively. CEO from the very beginning always said that the eBay company has a huge potential. Also Margaret cooperated not only with workers, but and with consumer, she tried to keep in touch with everyone.

3. Which benefits did these methods application given to the company? First of all, hiring an experienced personnel was a perfect decision. Also due to motivation, employees are able to find new solutions for the problems, fix something and solve problems faster and use different solving ways of problems. Thanks to motivation, workers show more productivity. 4. To which leadership type can Meg Whitman be attributed? In my opinion, the chief executive was a democratic leader in eBay company, because she involved her colleagues in decision making. Also she motivated them by different ways. It means, that management of Meg Whitman is considered as democratic leadership style. 5. Describe her role for the company. According to the text, Margaret Whitman plays a huge and really significant and important role in eBay company. We can notice, that thanks to her work the company has grown to a higher level in a worldwide market. While she controlled all work, at the same time she reached a goal in her business. Margaret was not just a boss of her company, she knew about everything what was going on inside her company, she lived by this company. I can say, that Meg Whitman is a perfect example of leader in any company. 6. Fantasize about what will happen to the company when it really lives. It is possible to imagine, if Meg takes a decision to leave a company, to leave the deal of your life, a business will become smaller and, maybe, the company will close soon. Because it is really very difficult to exist in the same way without a manager (Meg Whitman). It will be difficult to find such person, who will control everything, as Meg had done it before. She thought not only to herself, but to her employees too. So, in a result, the company is very successful with such CEO as Margaret Whitman....
