Hal ini menyebabkan internet menjadi media elektronik yang populer untuk menjalankan bisnis, yang kemudian dikenal dengan istilah electronic commerce atau e-commerce (Dharma, 2006.Today technology has revolutionized all the fields including banking. Driven by the internet phenomenon, banks have introduced online banking. It allows the user to perform banking transactions online. Due to the enormous development of e-commerce we are able to purchase anything online. But paying online is still a challenge. Currently debit cards and credit cards are used to pay online which incur high transaction cost and it's not secure. Therefore, this study aims to provide more information to the public some transaction or payment method used to do it online, as well as some aspects of security surrounding it, so that people can choose a method which is the most secure online payment. The data obtained from questionnaires distributed randomly in some places to the respondents had ever done an online transaction, along with other data that was obtained from the internet, journals, and other data from the literature review. Then it will be in the descriptive analysis in order to explain or answer the problem of how the security of transactions on e-commerce or online shop. Electric Commerce (e- Commerce) merupakan konsep baru yang bisa digambarkan sebagai proses jual beli barang atau jasa pada World Wide Web atau yang biasa disebut sebagai internet (Shim et al, 2000) atau proses jual beli atau pertukaran informasi melalui jaringan informasi termasuk internet (Turban et al, 2000). Kotler (2000) juga mengatakan bahwa transaksi bisnis yang akan datang, diprediksi akan berpindah dari market place (toko atau sebuah tempat) menuju ke market space (secara online) Hal ini terbukti dengan munculnya situs-situs web yang menjual produk-produk secara online seperti kaskus.com, tokobagus.com, berniaga.com dan lain-lain. Seiring meningkatnya industry online shop di tanah air, tentu mempengaruhi kenyamanan bagi pengguna dan pembeli online shop. Mulai dari tampilan, harga hingga diskon menggiurkan menarik minat masyarakat untuk membeli melalui online shop.
