IDS 100 Project 1: Lenses Chart Template Prompt: To help guide your exploration of the four liberal arts lenses, you will complete the following lenses chart. You will use the information you gather in this chart on Projects 2 and 3, the KWL chart and the presentation. After exploring each liberal arts lens, complete the associated column in the table below. Be sure that you are making notes about the lens, not about the subject of the articles you reviewed (air pollution). The goal is to capture the main characteristics of each lens in the chart to help you see the similarities and differences between the lenses, and to also gain an understanding of how professionals in each field approach finding information.

Natural Science Natural Science focuses on the physical and the natural world. Studies living organisms. With natural science theories are repeatedly tested to confirm data is completely accurate. There is not denying the facts with natural science. Natural science uses the scientific method: Observation,Research, Hypothesis ,Experiment, and Conclusion. What's there? How does it work?

History History helps us appreciate our advantages in society by studying the past events, journals, documents, and letters.

Humanities Humanities Lens includes the study of languages, ethics, and the arts from different cultures around the world.

History allows us to solve problems we have in the present time by looking in the past.

Humanities Lens can tell us where we have been and where we are going with our life.

History Lens shows us how everything around us, including ourselves evolve over time.

Humanities Lens helps us identify similarities and differences between cultures around the world.
