The stories which were mentioned both portrays Maranao women in the situation of a marriage. These women (wives) namely, BaisaAgmaniyog and Lokes a Babay both exemplify a role in accordance to their marriage and economic status with each of their husbands. Given patriarchal situation men as expected were supposed to overrule the women inside the marriage. The women even put a contradicting/revolting role to the patriarchal situation they are in.
