Jamie’s Market: Challenges Hiring and Onboarding Seasonal Workers

In your assignment, please answer both the following questions and all parts of each questions. Please note, this assignment follows a question-and-answer format. There is no need to provide an overall introduction and conclusion to the assignment – simply indicate the question you are answering. Both questions and both parts of each question are equally weighted.

Question 1 (750 words in total, i.e. including answers to both 1a and 1b) •

1a. What were three key weaknesses in how Jamie's market recruited and selected its last group of temporary associates?

1b. How would you recommend they approach the recruitment and selection of temporary associates in the future to avoid their previous mistakes? (You should provide recommendations that address the three key weaknesses you identified in 1a but you can also include more general recommendations).

Question 2 (750 words in total, i.e. including answers to both 2a and 2b) •

2a. What indications were there that the socialization of Jamie's Market's temporary associates was inadequate?

Readings You are expected to use the textbook as well as all of the required readings listed below in your response. Word count Total word limit 1,500 (word count EXCLUDES: in-text citations and reference list) +/- 10% either way is acceptable (penalties apply for exceeding the word limit – refer to information below).

Exceeding word count Assignments that exceed the word limit by more than 10% may attract a marking penalty of 10% of the marks that would otherwise have been awarded. Assignments that exceed the word limit by 25% or more may attract a higher penalty, including a cap on the maximum grade awarded. For example, an assignment with a limit of 1000 words will be marked down by 10% if there are more than 1100 words. If there are 1250 words or more, the maximum result that may be awarded is a H2B.
