March 20, 2000

Dear Parent or Guardian: Our annual school picnic and games will take place on May 9 th, and we'd like to estimate how many people will be attending so that we can prepare enough food. And we'd also like your help! If you're available on the day of the picnic, we'll need help with setting up the games and the food tables, monitoring sports, and cleaning up. We hope to have enough people sign up so that you would only need to work an hour or two and spend the rest of the time talking with your children, the teachers, and the other parents. Even if you can't be there on the day of, you can still help by preparing a dessert or helping your child create the decorations that we'll be using. The annual picnic is truly a wonderful time, and we look forward to seeing you there! Please fill in the information on the accompanying form and return it to us in the enclosed SASE.

Sincerely,

Winnie Reardon
