History: 1949 National Bank of pakistan(NBP) was established undwe the National Bank of Pakistan Ordinance of 1949 & was government-owned. NBP acted as an agent of the central bank wherever the state Bank did not have its own branch. It also undertook government treasury operations. Its fiest branch were in jute growing areas in East Pakistan. offices in Karachi & Lahore followed.

Types of Account: o Current Account: In current account limit for opening an office account is 5000rs and for salary account 200rs another account is remittance account no interest is charged on this type of account. o Saving Account: Open for saving purposes and profit is pay semiannually. o Fixed Account: Minimum limit for fixed deposit is 5-year interest is charged on this type of account. o Company Account: There are two types of account joint account and sole proprietorship account.

o Mutual fund Account: Different types of investors mutually collect the fund and invest it in different businesses with mutual consent.

Products offered to customer: o Cheque book o ATM

ATM: The fee of ATM is 750rs. Limit per day is 50000. On using another bank ATM charge of rs18 paid on it.

Cheque: An instrument which is acceptable in place of money.3 types of cheque books are given to the customer limit of them is 25, 50 and 100 cheques.

Reasons of dishonoring cheques: 1. Effect is not yet cleared; please present a present again 2. Not arranged for. 3. ------ payees endorsement required. 4. ------ payees endorsement irregular. 5. ‘[Collecting/payees endorsement required/irregular. 6. Insufficient funds 7. Drawers signature differs. 8. Payees endorsement required Bank guarantee. 9. Alternation requires full signature. 10. Cheque is post-dated. 11. Cheque is out of date. 12. Amount in words and figures differs.

13. Crossed cheque must be presented through a bank. 14. Advice not received from issuing Branch/Authority; please present again. 15. Payment stopped by the drawer. 16. Payees separate discharge to the bank is required 17. Order for payment by District Accounts/Treasury Officer required. 18. Requires revalidation. 19. Payees discharge on revenue stamps required. 20. Full cover not received. 21. Funds drawn against not yet received, may be presented again.

Types of loan/ Finance: These are the types of loan:   

Advance salary account Gold loan Saibaan

Advance salary loan: This type of loan is only given to government officer. In this there must be account in the bank and 3 salaries of the months is in the account loan given limit will be 20000rs. Two guarantors are of the person rank or upper rank and two blank cheque are required for loan and 20% interest is charged. Gold Loan: This type of loan is for everyone. 17.5% interest is paid on its loan is given on half of the gold amount. Saibaan: Interest is charged on this type of loan is 7% this may be house building loan.

Consumer Financing: These are the types of consumer financing: o Clean Financing. o Secure Financing.

Account Closing Procedure: For closing the account, the person has to submit his request form with reason....
