RATIONALE
Keep client on semi fowler’s position or chair rest in a position of comfort
Decrease oxygen consumption
Provide a quiet environment
To promote adequate rest, reduce anxiety and muscle tension
Instruct patient to limit activities
Facilitates temporary recompensation
DEPENDENT Administer 3-4 liters/min oxygen via nasal cannula
To increase oxygen available for cardiac function
Administer aspirin as prescribed
To support cardiac circulation
