Description

Why Nestle is one of the most hated companies in the world? Nestle is currently holding the position of the world's largest food and beverage company and has a Net worth of $78.9 Billion. But it is still one of the most hated company around the world, it has a really bad reputation in the market and today I am going to explain why it deserves that "Bad Reputation". Henri Nestle established Nestle in 1867 in Switzerland. Nestle is a Swiss multinational food and beverage company. His first product was lactogen formula for infants, i.e. Farine Lactee. Twenty-nine of their brands have sales of over $1 billion a year and have over 8,000 brands. They have 447 factories across 194 countries and employ around 333,000 people. Today, several countries and organizations are still boycotting Nestle, despite their claims to be in compliance with WHO regulations. Nestle takes reports on non-compliance with the WHO Code very seriously. Child labor, abuse, and trafficking Most of us if not all of us love chocolates some us buy it for our "friends" while, some of us buy it for our "Babu Sona" , but do you have any idea that Nestle's Chocolates are having a dirty deal behind our backs!?!!?!?. Their was a documentary in 2010 called " The Dark Side of Chocolate" in the documentary it was shown that children that were usually the ages of 12 to 15 years old are working hard to produce the cocoa beans that are used in making your chocolates. And Nestle is using the same practices. The FLA Reported that Nestle was fully aware of where their cocoa was coming from and under what conditions, but did nothing to improve the conditions of the poor child slaves.

Baby Formula and Boycott The first problem was the need for water sanitation. They focused their business on undeveloped countries like Africa but the people of Africa had no access to clean water and due to low literacy rate they had no idea that they had to boil water to remove the impurities, many mothers were not aware of this, so they mixed the formula of nestle with polluted water which had impurities in it due to which the children became sick. Nestle did have knowledge about this problem but still seem to have ignored it on the name of business and profit.

There are several problems with this product

1. The measure of free recipe gave by Settle secured a period sufficiently long for some moms to quit lactating, leaving them with no options once their free inventory was depleted. 2. More unfortunate moms who put stock in the maintained advantages of the equation

yet couldn't stand to get it routinely and didn't actually see how the entire thing functions attempted to extend their stockpile by adding less powder to the water, prompting undernourished infants. 3. A considerable lot of the moms who were given equation lived in regions that didn't have the foundation expected to securely utilize it (for example uncontaminated water to use in blending the equation, or fuel to use in making heated water to clean the containers that hold it), prompting sickness and once in a while passing for their babies. 4. Directions on the best possible utilization of the recipe were not given by Settle in a configuration that can be comprehended by the moms, because of an absence of deciphered forms in the nearby language or non-composed renditions for the uneducated (of which there are numerous among the focused on populaces).
