Based on earlier data so now the new index.. The index used an estimate of the least costly economy food plan—a low-budget, nutritionally adequate diet—and multiplied the cost by three. What are some shortcomings of this measure of poverty? What is subjective poverty? This measure does not provide a cutoff line prepared on the basis of the statistical data per se.

Used to measure the degree of inequality What is the range of the Gini coefficient, and what values high vs. low inequality? is expressed as a scale running from 0 to 1 on which 0 signifies perfect equality (everyone has the same income) and 1 indicates extreme inequality (one person or group has all income)
