POC- IICS DATA INTEGRATION OVERVIEW:



Informatica Cloud fetches data from various clouds, Transform and Load into different platforms or even just in a simple flat file using Informatica Cloud Integration Services.



USE CASES: 1) Data Synchronization – (cloud-cloud, SaaS-SaaS, On-Premises – On-Premise, OnPremise app- cloud app) 2) System Maintenance Tasks 3) Data Replication 4) Mappings 5) Monitoring



In Informatica Cloud, Development is divided into- 1) Data Synchronization. 2) Tasks 3) Mappings Reporting is divided into- 1) Activity Log. 2) Activity Monitoring

TASK: Explore the different ways to fetch data from Salesforce and write it into File using IICS.



CHALLENGES FACED DURING HANDS-ON: Download and installation of Local Secure Agent (On-Premise).

LEARNINGS DURING HANDS-ON: Run time environment- For Application we can either create the connection in Informatica cloud hosted agent or the local secure agent. But for a File system or an On-Premise system only the particular secure agent should be selected from where the file/data is going to be fetched.



STEP BY STEP PROCESS OF SYNCHRONIZING FILE TO FILE AND SALESFORCE DATA TO FILE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

After the successful connections are done, Now create file in the respective folders in Drive C (.csv) files.



First create a project under which you want to perform the Synchronisation and the create folders under it.

Next go to the Informatica Cloud > Data Integration and create Synchronisation between Source and Target Flat files.

When you RUN the task. You can see it under the jobs section.

Now once the synchronization is performed, hen you check it in the Drive C: , you will notice that the data has been successfully synchronized from the Source file to the Target file.

Similarly, we can perform the same synchronization process by applying filters to the Data.

(II) SALESFORCE TO FLATFILE CREATE A NEW CONNECTION





Run time environment- For Application we can either create the connection in Informatica cloud hosted agent or the local secure agent. But for a File system or an On-Premise system only the particular secure agent should be selected from where the file/data is going to be fetched.













Now since the Salesforce connection is successfully created, we can create a data synchronization task to read the data from the salesforce(hence we will fetch the source data from salesforce)....
