Title of the Project “Program Welfare Development for PWD” is a project proposal that focuses on the physical and mental health awareness for Person with Disabilities. Location ● Brgy. San Bartolome Sto. Tomas City Batangas is the location of our project proposal because 30% of PWD are encounter in the given area.

Duration and Time of Implemetation ● It will be conducted on February 23 to April 27, 2020 every Tuesday at 3:00 to 5:00 Pm

Type of Community Service Activity ● Food, Health and Sanitation The proposed project focuses on the welfare development of the PWD in Brgy. San Bartome Sto. Tomas City Batangas. It seeks to conduct assessment and assistance on the current situation of the PWD primarily on their health and condition.

Department/College Involved The department/College Involved in the said project are College of Accountancy Business Economic International Hospitality Management (CABEIHM) Department and National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office.

Project Proponent(s) The proponents involved in proposing this project are Mark A. Maniaga, Jea A. Robles and Rico D. Attiche of BSBA HRMGT 1ST Year students.

Cooperating Partners The Cooperating partners of our Project Proposal will be the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office, Brgy. San Bartolome Sto. Tomas City Batangas (location) which is the target location, Batangas Medical Center (Assistant in Medical Mission) aid and free medical mission, Kap. Clemente L. Montilla (Project Proposal Sponsor) SK Council Dexter Pecho (Assistant) and Catherine Gamara Javier (Licensed Psychometrician, Counseling)

● Secondary beneficiaries – Parents The beneficiaries will have the opportunities to enhance and develop Physical and Mental Abilities. This project will somehow help them to gain and develop for self confidence that will help them to be productive in life and to be able to be aware in the environment.

IX.

Rationale of the Project As a Person with Disability, it is necessary for them to acquire care and welfare in order for them to develop Physical and Mental abilities. Implementing the proposed project in the chosen community will benefit its target beneficiaries through providing health care assistance. PWD is one of the problems in the community that needs to pay attention and provide an action. In addition, 20% of the population in Brgy. San Bartolome Sto. Tomas Batangas were having a health condition or disability. Some of the resident in the chosen community are belonged to Persons with Disabilities. They are lacking of attention from the public health government and they are not given the opportunities to have consultation to the health specialist which will help them to be more productive, as well as to avoid the risk of worsening their health conditions. The proposed project will somehow help the community to be aware that those Persons with Disabilities are still part of the society and they must provide a health care assistance. This could not only help the target beneficiaries but also their whole family in supporting their love ones. Persons with Disabilities in the community will be benefited by the proposed project in particular reason that it focusing on giving care and assistance for their health condition. And it seeks to provide program that the proponents’ best can give for its target beneficiaries; it is in partnership with the different health professionals, local government, and individuals who has life development advocacy.

Objectives The proposed project aimed to empower and advocates people of the said community about PWD. The proponents provide general and specific objectives that will be accomplish once the project is done. General Objectives: ● To implement various program intended to be informed and aware about PWD. ● To enhance and encourage their participation for potential and ability development processes. ● To promote respect for the rights and protect the privilege of PWD. ● To strengthens the authorities to support system and act for PWD objectives Specific Objectives: ● To inform the participants about the main purpose of the project; this is to address the issue regarding the people with disabilities. ● To give equal treatment and opportunities that they deserve despite of their condition.

● To be able to develop their skills and boost their self-esteem as the proponents conduct seminars and activities daily. ● To help the participants engage and be motivated, as well as acquire new knowledge and interact with other people will surely lessen their problem. ● To strengthen their courage as they go through the battles in life. ● To recognize that disabilities is not inability and it is based on the skills and capabilities not only on their physical appearance. ● To educate people about human rights, to respect and promote self-awareness especially for PWD. XI.

Description of the Project The project entitled: “Program Welfare Development for PWD” is a program created by first year college students in Bachelor of Science in Administration Management major in Human Resource Management (BSBA- HRAMGT 1201). This project proposal will ensure that every participant will gain applicable knowledge and information that will help them to develop themselves. The organizer will invite Medical staff to give their free service to conduct medical mission. Also, there is Registered/licensed Psychometrician and SPED Teacher volunteer that will provide assistance to youth and children to understand the situation they were involved. The beneficiaries of the mentioned project are the youth/children whereas their residential located at Brgy. San Bartolome Sto. Tomas City Batangas where the program will be held. To make this project successful there are following processes that need s to follow: ● Meeting up with team through messenger/google meet ● Brainstorming to the proposed project ● Deciding who are the beneficiaries ● Deciding the venue of the program ● Determining the sponsors that will serves as guidance to propose the project during its implementation ● Estimating the cost amount that will consumed to finish the project ● Preparing all supplies like foods, things needed, hygiene kit/Emergency kit ● Creating the plan or the flow of the project ● Preparation for implementation ● Monitoring and Documentation of the overall program of the Project This project will be conducted on February 23, 2021 and will be ended on April 27, 2021.
