Relationship Between Democracy and Education Democracy and education have a natural affinity for one another. Democracy ensures that everyone has equal access to education, but education also plays an important role in ensuring that democracies continue to function properly and sustain themselves. Equal treatment is one of the most important aspects of democracy. As a result, all citizens are treated equally and education is provided as a fundamental human right. Avasthi (2012) writes, "democracy educates masses" when discussing the benefits of democracy. Essentially, it's a massive experiment in public education. Libertarian ideals such as equality and fraternity as well as co-operation and sharing responsibility have a profound effect on education. On the other hand, a democratic way of life is intrinsically motivated by education at various levels and dimensions. In order to improve educational outcomes, democratic values or principles are applied. Similarly, democracy cannot succeed without education, as citizens of a civilised society should be aware of their rights and responsibilities as citizens to better function in a democratic government. In order for democracy to become a reality, it must be taught from the beginning of education and its values must be practised in schools and colleges. Democracies, according to Henderson (1947), are based on the belief that human beings are capable of managing their own affairs in such a way as to promote the well-being of all, and that they should be given the freedom to do so. A way of life where democracy has a "determinating influence on every major area of life," as Bode (1937) put it. It is impossible for a human being to exist on his or her own. The well-being of a person's social and private life is ensured by democracy. Human life would be incomplete without education, which is both an important and essential part of that life...
