Section One Research question Have student’s career goals changed now they are half way through Youth, Community and Families BA (Hons) program? Introduction Some students can find that once they are at university doing a course that the thought would lead them to a career goal can change. For my research project I am going to find out whether students from University College Birmingham’s carrier goals have changed now that they are halfway through BA (Hons) Youth communities and Families program. Rationale This topic in my opinion is an interesting topic and worth investigating as it shows how a course may alter student’s perceptions of certain careers within youth community and family work and guide their interests into a career that before studying they would never have been interested in. Aims and Objectives The aim of this research is to find out if student’s career goals changed now they are half way through Youth, Community and Families BA (Hons) program.

1) I will revise written research relating to student career goals within the Youth, Community and Families BA (Hons) program. 2) I will conduct Primary research by doing a focus group with students who are currently studying Youth, Community and Families BA (Hons) program. My secondary research will be collated articles and literature mostly found online. 3) I will then analyse all research undertaken in relation to my main research aim. 4) Finally, I will draw conclusions based on the entire research project answering my research question....
