ABSTRACT

The Chance for increasing the productivity and the mobility of Sun Life Financial proposes to request a model project for impacting less interaction within employees during business trips. It is a major intervention plan aimed at influencing less communication within employees. The ultimate goal of the Chance for increasing the productivity and the mobility is to reduce risk factors for loosing sales. With inadequate funds and resources, an organization approach which recruits the support and networking of the whole community, is most likely to have impact on this problem which reduces the profit and also the market price in the community. The program which are suggested will be taken into consideration as a part of sun life internal program which ultimately will affect the employees means of communication, documents which are produced at the end of the month or a year counting the retailing of total sales, transferring information from a long distance journey into the company’s database and many important aspects which will be beneficial for the company itself. This program is approved by the President and they are willing to put that into practice as soon as possible for better employee’s growth and sales. The chance of implementing this program is aimed at employee’s good will and is also in the favour of the company. By using this approach it will expand our services and representatives will also get a chance to deal with different kind of technology. Employee will be trained how to use this devices efficiently if they are not familiar with how to use them. This program is targeted to begin December 12, 2014.

Sun Life Financial November 10, 2014 Ms. Andrea Jacobs Centennial College 941 Progress Avenue Toronto, ON M1G 3V4 Dear Ms. Jacobs:

I write this letter to offer a solution to a recurring problem. The problem is that few representatives including me will be away for up to a week and during that time we will be making sales calls to the schools, colleges, and universities within Ontario. Sales representatives become frustrated because as it is difficult to connect with each other. I suggest that we should be provided with wireless laptops and smartphones so we will have enough devices to work with and therefore be able to connect without the hassle of damaged down communication. The advancement of wireless computer networks supported by 802.11 protocols has the prospective to change the way information is circulated and consumed. This wireless technology, popularly known as Wi-Fi, is used to link a large amount of devices and the Internet through the mechanism of transistor waves. These kind of computing devices can spontaneously move within a coverage area of wireless local area network (WLAN). Moving computers from one counter to another, room or one position to another, can simply change the structure of LAN and also can be reshaped. This correspondence outlines the comprehensive scope of a plan we propose, including main ideas, policies, procedures, identification of responsibilities, and the estimate cost. BAC KGROUND AND PUR POSES Considering the relevant work experience, education and specific skills SunLife Insurance team has 100 sales professionals that they share in common which guarantee that they are highly successful in their positions. However, sales performance among the team can vary if the representatives would not get sufficient devices to work with the customers to increase the sales during their travel or on a business trip. There is a gap of 75% between the maximum and minimum performance that highly concerns our SunLife Insurance Company. For example, considering the fast-paced mobile training it is vibrant that only access to e-mail is awfully insufficient for the growth of production and making employees better-informed. The arrangement of these devices such as wireless laptops, smartphones, tablets, along with their several software applications, makes it easier for workers to work collaboratively and businesses to connect internally with staff and their clients. These wireless technology lets people use company statistics and assets without being tied to a single location. Whether your staffs are roaming to meetings, out on sales calls, working from a client’s location or from home, mobile devices can support them to keep in touch, be resourceful, and make use of company assets.

Sun Life Financial Mobile devices can also change the way your company organizes business - new technologies direct to new means of working, and new products and facilities which can be provided to your clients. They make your crew well-organized, more inventive, and more appreciated to your clients. We can increase the potential sales output by a factor of several hundred percent – if they can define what it is that makes their best performance dynamic than their average and bottom performers. Such an increase in sales would not increase the sales personnel. PROPOSED PLAN AND BENEFITS On the basis of previously conducted survey organized by the HR Department, we came across this conclusion that the following plan will beneficial for the company’s well-being. The details are as follow: LUNCH AND LEARN Providing the employees in-depth explanation during lunch and learn program, how the advantages of wireless can help the organization save money and increase productivity, and by increasing the mobility and collaboration amongst the employee will create positive and more effective solutions. Along with that we will also clarify that how the distribution of wireless equipment’s will be a better solution for roaming on site without losing your connection, and also employee’s will have full access to company’s database and will be in touch 24/7. FEEDBACK Each employee will be required to fill out a suggestion form in order to identify the need of an equipment to buy in numbers, and also conclude the total number of users who need to have access to the network outside the premises. This will help us to regulate the overall access authorizations to company’s database. EQUIPMENT PROVIDED Each employee will receive one wireless laptop and smartphone containing software’s, learning modules, and printed copies for that particular software. SECURITY CONCERNS WEP encryption is best used for keeping the files safe which are sent over internet. It is essentially a complicated software algorithm that scrambles data as it’s sent unscrambles it as soon as it’s received. Also, VPN (Virtual private network) another secure network when combined along with other tactics makes wireless connection extremely secure. So, if someone interrupts the transmission, the data is protected. TECHNICAL SUPPORT The equipment’s provided to each employee will be fully insured under their insurance provided by the company. However, all other technical issues will be dealt professionally by technical professionals of the wireless network providers.
