Requirements Document Spring Breaks R Us Travel Service

Business Description Spring Breaks ‘R’ Us (SBRU) is an online travel service that books spring break trips to resorts for college students. Its Web site shows information on each resort and includes prices, available rooms, and special features. Students can research and book a room, enter contract information, and pay deposits and final payments through the system. While SBRU provides updated booking information, resort information updates, and travel information for booked students when they log in to the site the resorts also need to be able to do this service and currently they system doesn’t allow them to do this nor be paid by SBRU for the bookings. The resorts also need to be able to see their own bookings for each week and the information regarding the room types that are booked. Additionally, SBRU desires a social media presence as well as an ability to collect information on customer desires, experiences and needs. In the future, they would be able to increase their sales using this information through a future social media presence.

Functional Requirements The new system should be capable of: 1. Collecting and storing information about SBRU customer experiences 2. The ability to be updated by both SBRU and the individual resorts 3. Offer linkage to social media sites that will be created for SBRU 4. Provide a secure payment automation for resorts to be paid through SBRU 5. Provide the resorts with real time up-to-date information on their bookings 6. Provide a downloadable app for both Android and OS 7. Company Website should be able to run on both Chrome and IE 8. Links to social media sites should be available on both the app and website 9. Double authentication for users security 10. Software updates after hours

Usability Requirements Currently, the documented expectations of the new system will be: 1. Website will be easy to use in providing up-to-date booking information, be reliable and easy to use both in the continental US and overseas. 2. There will be a downloadable app for customers to book their reservations and pay in advance. 3. Offer double authentication for users security

Reliability & Performance Requirements The proposed system is expected to have: 1. Limited service outages 2. Software updates after hours 3. A .5 second response time to user input 4. Proposed server to support up to 100 simultaneous client sessions 5. System should be able to support incorrect processing and recover

Security Requirements The system should have the following security requirements: 1. Password protected and double authentication for users security 2. Encrypted with 1024 bit keys 3. HTTPS for communicating between clients and server nodes
