Statistics Project, Part 2: Hypothesis Testing and Two-Group t test Hypothesis Using the variables provided in the Happiness and Engagement dataset, a credible hypothesis would be: “Employees' age and gender have no effect on employee’s happiness and engagement at the workplace.” Null hyp0othesis (Ho) A positive effect on employees may be the direct supervisor relationship between employees and supervisors for a happier workplace. Alternative Hypothesis (H1). Employee’s having a good relationship with a direct supervisor may create a better engagement at the workplace.
Statistical Analysis The variables on the dataset tested are from a single population. I believe that the paired t-test would be the method most appropriate to use in this statistical analysis. A paired t-test usually compares two sample means from a single population. In this instance, the engagement and happiness of the employees and the age and gender of the employees are the two observations compared in a single population.
