With rapid economic development in the past few years, massive economic and social problems are gradually appearing in China, such as regional imbalance development and wealth gap. Recently, the Sino-US trade war directly led to the Chinese stock market crash and the RMB devaluation. In my opinion, the unbalanced economics structure of China made it more vulnerable to external factors. Hence, i aim to become a macroeconomist with the perspective of regional planning, sustainable development and social welfare. For this reason, I would like to apply for MSc Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). There are several great reasons I would like to study in London School of Economics and Political Science. Of all those reasons, my ambitious dream of becoming a macroeconomist thrives me to further my studies in LSE. As a Chinese, I have witnessed great economic development over the years in my country. However, at the same time many corresponding problems arise. Such problems may include regional imbalance development or the wealth gap between rich and poor. At the same time, recent issues such as the Sino-US trade war has had direct impact on the Chinese stock market negatively and caused the RMB value to become devalued. At the same time unbalanced economic structure of China boosted its vulnerability to external factors. These are some of the matters that grab my attention. Therefore, to be a world class economist with a perspective of regional planning, sustainable development and social welfare I believe it is crucial for me to study at LSE....
