Talking Points I love reading fantasy books. Many authors such as J.K Rowling do great jobs with creating fantasy books. One of my favorite parts of fantasy books is that anything is possible in them. A lot of fantasy books have a bigger idea or theme that is presents throughout the story. This theme is related to the book and usually isn’t explicitly stated by the author, it is up for interpretation. If the theme is explicitly stated it is an explicit theme. Wow! I would think that fantasy books would date further back than 1726. A lot of fantasy books fall into all the categories. Many of them can be in more than just one category. Like Hunger Games for example, it falls into strange situations, miniature worlds, science fiction, and animal fantasy. I really enjoy reading dystopian world fantasy books. One of my favorite dystopia books is the giver. I love Lois Lowery. I also love Gossamer by her.

Questions you have on the topic…

What is the best way to get students to be immersed in fantasy books? Is 1726 the earliest fantasy books were created?...
