THE AWFUL TRUTH My favorite movie with Cary Grant's film is The Awful Truth. The movie The Awful Truth(1937) stars Irene Dunne, Cary Grant, Ralph Bellamy, and Alexander D'Arcy. It is directed and produced by Leo McCarey. This film is about JerryWarriner (Cary Grant) going on vacation to Florida (which he goes to a sports club inNew York) and returns to find his wife. Lucy (Irene Dunne), home with her male music teacher, causes the couple to seek a messy divorce, but later realize that they are still in love. Jerry Playing with the Dog Jerry visited the dog in the house of Lucy. Jerry's ulterior motive was to play with the dog, but his real reason was to disturb Lucy. Lucy and his visitors were concerned until they decided to vacate the house. Jerry wanted to distract the conversation of Lucy with Leeson. It was a way to prevent his ex-wife from entering a new relationship. The audience is surprised to realize that though the couples are divorced, Jerry still gets jealous because he still loves her. Jerry Date with Dixie Belle Jerry was taking alcohol while on a date with Dixie Belle. Moreover, Jerry smoked in the presence of Dixie Belle. Jerry portrayed the male chauvinism attitude, where he burned with worry about the state of her partner. The scene is memorable since new dates are usually decent, and rarely do men neither take alcohol nor smoke a cigar. Jerry and Dixie Belle join her ex-wife with leucon on a table in the club. Jerry sarcastically appreciates the relationship with leucon. The situation is surprising to see divorced couples sharing the same table with their new partners. The context creates a continuous enduring appealing of the film. Delivery of the Divorce Documents Leeson and Lucy were playing the piano when Jerry intruded the house and halted their breezy moment. Jerry poured his affection and guilt into filing the divorce. As Jerry leaves, she accidentally knocks Lucy; then, he hesitates to go. Jerry said to Leeson to take care of Lucy and have a strong

relationship. The context creates an appealing scenario since most of the divorce are usually on bad terms and do not wish each other well in their next relationships. Jerry Behind the Door Jerry had visited, then suddenly Daniel intruded. Lucy hid Jerry behind the door and initiate a conversation with Daniel at the door. Leeson started narrating a romance poem to Lucy while Jerry was trickling her on her back. Leeson was unknowingly thinking Lucy was enjoying the poetry he was telling. It is hilarious for couples divorcing to make fun of each other instead of avoiding each other. The scenario creates a lasting appeal to viewers of the awful truth. In conclusion, Jerry and Lucy are liars. Jane picked the call of Barbara accidentally and realized she was not the respondent. Jerry lied that Lucy was her sister, and she will attend with her at the family meeting. Lucy deliberately attended the meeting and claimed to be Jerry's sister. The apparent reason for Lucy's attendance was to spoil the marriage arrangements of Jerry and Barbara....
