Description

The members of CPA need to undertake compulsory continuous professional development (CPD) activities, where the members must complete 120 hours for a three-year period, with a minimum of 20 hours of CPD every year, as a requirement to develop professional competence (CPA 2017). Continuing professional development also referred to continuing professional Education (CPE) in India. Similarly, the members of the ICAI are required to complete credit hours for the block period of 3 years (01-01-2020 to 31-12-2023) where members aged less than 60 years need to complete at least 120 CPE for three years, with a minimum of 20 CPE credit hours of structured learning. The remaining balance of 60 CPE hours can be completed either through structured or unstructured learning. All the members aged 60 years & above must complete 90 CPE hours of wither structed or unstructured learning at the end of 3rd year with a minimum of 20 CPE credit hours at the end of each calendar year.

Professional certification requirementsProfessional certification requirements are required to be classified as a CPA. Firstly,one must complete a Bachelor or Postgraduate degree that is accredited with CPA Australia. Secondly, one must complete the CPA Program. Thirdly, one must complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities, and lastly, they must comply with the CPA Australia’s code of conduct. (Cpaaustralia.com.au, 2017). In providing public accounting services, members must undertake CPA Australia’s public practice program and hold a CPA Australia public practice certificate (Cpaaustralia.com.au, 2017)....
