The Pains of an E.I.C

At the title Editor-in-chief, one might always attribute power, authority, and bossy attitude.And,as expected,it always is true. -but not for me. In contrast, this E.I.C here called me is a struggling one. Me, an editor in chief, nags the contributors to submit their articles, crams with the section editors on copyreading and fact-checking the submitted articles, and , if the contributor can’t produce a more decent news/feature/whatsoever,writes the article myself (this may not seem like injustice, as we journalists are expected to be crunch writers;that is,we should be able to write about anything and everything fast and logically.But then,the column is theirs,so the article that we make is still named after them. That’s what makes me revolt.).Instead of feeling exhilarating power, I feel more and more powerless. The result: a lagging team (not to mention that it seems to be a 5-girl team) that continuously sets and fails deadlines. It’s depressing. I hope that you guys finally wake up and do your job. It’s sickening to work in a team when you are the only one working. It’s tiring, stressing, depressing. Help me out, will you? #...
