Outcomes/Evaluation monitor cell division. monitor vitals w/i normal monitor for adverse effects & when to contact a physician

Potential Complications 1. Anemia & thrombocytopenia: low red blood cells and low platelet count2. Chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy: loss of peripheral nerve sensory motor fxn3. Neutropenia or immunosuppression: supression of immune system or risk of infection bc of dec. neutrophils

Nursing Interventions (pre, intra, post) Pre: review patient level of knowledge about treatment, monitior for adverse effects, medication administration with certified nurses, administer prescribed antiemitic meds.Intra: Monitor vitals, adverse effects, IV infusion, extravasationPost: Education signs/symptoms of complications, Education on vascular devices & handling of oral meds, when to seek medical intervention

Client Education Avoid large crowds. Record and report any fever. Wash toothbrush daily in dishwasher, avoid bacteria containing foods, injury and bleeding prevention and interventions, inspect skin with protection, avoid NSAIDs.

Nursing Interventions 1. Assess the patient for possible bleeding or risk of bleeding. Educate the patient on potiental for falls and inact fall risk precautions.2.
