Topic 5 Study Guide This study guide is optional. It is not an assignment and cannot be submitted. The purpose of the study guide is to prepare for the topic quiz. Jesus came to Earth as the lamb, the sacrifice. It should have been Humanity who perished, but it was Jesus instead. He died so those who trust Him would not perish but be saved. 7. What is the mark of a Christian according to Jesus in John 13:35? Love one another. 8. Read Hebrews 9:24-28. Briefly state the point in each of the last three verses (26-28). 1. Christ only needed to die once for our sins 2. Man will die once and be judged 3. Those who trust in Christ will be saved from judgment 9. What are two appropriate responses to the message of the gospel according to our textbook? Repentance and Faith 10. How does our textbook describe repentance?
