Virtual Garden Lab Report Instructions: Select the Virtual Garden Lab from the lesson assessment page. The lab will open in a new window. Select begin and follow the instructions to complete the lab report. Title: virtual garden lab reports Connor Toole
Objective(s): identify patterns in plant growth under varying conditions
Hypotheses: Make predictions of what you think will result in the healthiest garden. Be sure to give a reason for your hypothesis. Garden 1 because it gets the most medium so not to much not to little

Analysis Questions: Analysis questions need to be answered using complete sentences. Some questions may require a longer explanation in paragraph form.
Which row was the best placement for the pansies, hydrangeas, and sunflowers? Explain your answer. The best row in total was the middle cause when it was watered it didn’t get too much or too little letting it grow the best.
Describe the process of germination and plant growth you observed in the lab activity for a monocot plant. (Hint: Use data chart A to help with your
description.) Describe the process of germination and plant growth you observed in the lab activity for a monocot plant. It is root growth from the seed
Describe the process of germination and plant growth you observed in the lab activity for a dicot plant. Plant growth including cells and tissues.
Which of your plants was a dicot? Which was a monocot? How could you tell? (Hint: Refer to the lesson for differences in monocots and dicots.) sunflower and pansies were dicots
What was the correct water level for germination? Why did this water level work best for all the plants in the garden? 2 worked the best for my experiment not too much not too little
What water level did you select for plant growth during your first attempt? Describe the observations of your plants at this water level. Based on your data, was the level you picked the best choice for optimum growth? High and it let the plants grown much faster
What pH level did you select for plant growth? Describe the observations of your plants at this pH level. Based on your data, was the level you picked the best choice for optimum growth? High and it let the plants grown much faster
Describe your observations of plant growth in zero gravity. Can you provide possible reasons for the growth patterns? (Hint: Refer to tropisms in the lesson for ideas.) the plants did not have a specific direction to grow which made them much smaller a shriveled up
Conclusion Questions: Conclusion questions need to be answered using complete sentences. Some questions may require a longer explanation in paragraph form. 1. In a real garden, which hormones would stimulate seed germination and plant growth? The gibberellins hormones would stimulate seed fermentation growth 2. Based on your experiences with the Virtual Garden, how would you set up a real backyard garden? Describe what you learned about plant behavior in this lab that will help you cultivate a healthy garden. I would set it up very similar because I think it would be easier to have the plants where they are supposed to go so, they can grow better....
