To: All Staff and Students with courses retaining final examination in the second semester of 2020/21 AY From: Registry Date: April 27, 2021 Re: Reminders of Final Examination of 2020-21 Academic Year Please be reminded that the examination period for 19 courses that were approved to retain the final examination in the second semester of 2020/21 academic year will be held from May 3 to 13, 2021. We would like to draw your attention to the following points: 1. For students who will attend the examination online - The designated Zoom meeting links for each examination were sent to you through your University webmail on April 26, 2021 with an email titled “Re: Zoom link for online exam for the second semester of 2020/21”. If you have not received it, please contact the Registry at [email protected] as soon as possible. - Please note that the designated Zoom meeting link may not be the same between different students in the same class, please login to your assigned link. - You must read all the Online Examination Guidelines, Online Examination Rules and FAQs on Online Examinations for the second semester of 2020 21 AY carefully at Moodle and print a set in hard copy for reference during the examinations. Please test out the trial answer submission link at: https://www.hksyu.edu/esubmit/trial at least once before April 30, 2021. 2. For students who have applied for on-campus examination - The examination venue with your seat number have been sent to you through your University webmail on April 26, 2021 with an email titled “RE: Exam venue and seat number for the On-Campus Exam for the second semester of 2020/21”. If you have not received it, please contact the Registry at [email protected] as soon as possible. 3. Absence in the Final Examination and Make-up Examination - If you are absent from a final examination due to sickness or other extenuating circumstances, you may seek approval from the Registry with written attestation and supporting documents within 5 days from the date of that examination. An application for the second semester Make-up examination will be posted in Moodle on May 3, 2021. The make-up examination for the second semester of 2020/21 academic year will be held in late July/early August 2021. If you fail to do so, you will be regarded as absent from the examination and receive a zero mark for that paper and an “F” grade for the course. 4.
