The study also said that coffee also good on our skin because of its antioxidant properties it is also said that coffee can reduce the sign of aging such as wrinkles, timelines, and apparent skin cause of stress, smoking, and repeated facial expression. Coffee is a widely used beverage brewed from the roasted and ground seed that contains caffeine act as a central nervous system stimulant. When it reaches our brain, the most noticeable effect is alertness. You will feel more awake and less tired when you drink or take some of it, so it’s a common ingredient to treat or manage drowsiness, headache, and migraine aside from it caffeine has also benefits when applied to our skin it can heal inflammation and puffiness, it also tighten and brightens the skin, reducing wrinkles, and visibly smoothing away cellulite on the body.

Coffee has proven have wonderful effects on the skin, according a 2013 study published by the Royal Society of Chemistry. It contains powerful antioxidant agent, Which protect the skin from free radicals and reduce the risk of skin cancer. Aging is the process of going old it usually starts at age of 25 where timelines and wrinkles may appear to your skin but because of skin cares that are arising in any part of the world it can reduce the sign of aging or stop for a while.

Statement of the problem 1. How effective the coffee as anti-aging facial mask? a.one week b. two weeks c. three weeks d. four weeks 2. What are the factors that affect the coffee as anti-aging facial mask? 3. What are the suggestions needed to enhance the coffee as anti-aging facial mask?

CHAPTER II

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES In this chapter, present some review of related literature towards the study. These studies and literature will be of great help to explain the study. RELATED LITERATURE The coffee has been for decades the most commercialized food product and most widely consumed beverage in the world (Farah 2012). Since the opening of the coffee house in Mecca at the end of the fifteenth century, coffee consumption has greatly increased all around the world. In 2010, coffee production reached 8.1 million tons worldwide. [1]. This represents more than 500 billion cups, with the United States, Brazil, Germany, Japan, and Italy being the major consumer countries. However, per capita consumption in North European countries such as Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden may reach 8 kg/year, more than two times that of the United States or Brazil [2]. Today, coffee is considered a functional food, primarily due to its high content of compounds that exert antioxidant and other benefits biological properties. The characteristic flavor and richness of coffee aroma make it a unique beverage, with almost a thousand volatile compounds identified in roasted coffee [3]. (Tassotti et al.2016) The research on the potential protective effects of coffee and its bioactive (caffeine and chromogenic acids) against oxidative stress and related chronic disease risk has been increasing in the last years. The presents review of summarizes the main findings on the effect of coffee on protection against lipid, protein and DNA damage, as well as on the modulation of antioxidants capacity and antioxidants enzymes in human studies. The high heterogeneity in terms of type of coffee, doses and duration of the studies, the lack of information on coffee and/or brew bioactive composition, as well as the choice of biomarkers and the methods used for their evaluation, may partially explain the variability observed among findings. In some studies, there is an increasing interest of cosmetic industry on natural extracts. The inclusion of antioxidants in topical formulation can contribute to minimize oxidative stress in the skin, which has been associated with aging. Coffee Silver skin (CS) is a food by product with established antioxidants activity that has not yet been incorporated a topical formulation (Gaspar 2015).

RELATED STUDY The International Coffee Organization (ICO) IN 2014, the world coffee production has been around. This is an increasing numbers of reports in the literature related to the use of the treatment or cosmetics. Aside from that, a system for moisturizing the skin and decreasing established acne that are presented, during their lifetimes most people experience undesirable skin condition, such as acne. An alternative method uses a conventional cleanser, toner and facial scrub. A facial mask would then be applied overnight it would be to cleanse the face using the conventional cleanser. In addition, using a facial mask with the preparation helps to keep the compound on the surface of the skin. This allows to the skin to draw from a reservoir during the sleeping hours giving the face the moisture it needs. The mask also protects skin from contaminants and bacteria in the environment, which clog pores that cause acne. Pruett (2003) Their use as facial mask may be done directly on the skin at room temperature (kaolinite or smectites mixed with water). To treat dermatological disease such as blackheads, spot, acne and seborrhea it has recommended the application of the mixture comprised of clays and water of high temperature. Clay minerals are used by Pharmaceutical or cosmetic for several proposes like excipients, due to its rheological properties or a substance with interesting biological activity in function of its chemical composition (Carreto, 2002). Each clay with potential cosmetic application has a specific dermatological indication that could be related to the type of clay (chemical composition, crystal structure of associated minerals) and its effect on the skin. These clays are usually identified by their colors by the market. However, information is rare regarding a characterization of each of these colored allowing a correlation with dermatological indications (Mpuchane et al., 2010). The interest in developing clay facial mask is assigned to cleansing and lifting effects (Khanna & Datta Gupta,2002). However, the literature lacks studies involving clay facial masks, in particular regarding their influence on skin’s biomechanical properties. This work aimed to characterize colored clays and evaluate the firmness and elasticity of the skin at different time intervals after applications of clay facial mask.
