Description

Should we have a wealth tax? Personally yes, I believe we should have a wealth tax. Some people like myself, agree to have a wealth tax because a wealth tax could allow more government funding and could potentially decrease income equality. As there are people who agree there are also people who disagree. Some people may disagree to have a wealth tax because this tax could affect personal assets and their values. My potential career goal is to be a personal financial adviser. In order to achieve my career goal I would need a degree in accounting. Accounting as my degree and personal financial adviser relates to this issue because having a wealth tax could potentially affect people's bank deposits, real estate, Insurance, pension plans, and more. If certain personal assets decrease in value as a financial adviser I could help people budget or document these values. My first key point that can support my main argument would be that a wealth tax could potentially raise a lot of money for government funding. This keypoint supports my main argument by showing the benefits of having a wealth tax. my second key point that would also support my main argument would be that by having a wealth tax we could potentially decrease income equality. this key point is also another benefit of having a wealth tax. my last key point that would support my main argument would be to explain that a wealth tax would only tax equity. all three of these key points explain a few of the benefits of having a wealth tax. The audience that may be reading my essay would be any working American who pays taxes. The wealthy, the middle class, and the low income. A potential challenge that I may face supporting my argument with this audience could be disagreement. Having these different groups of Americans as my audience it may be hard to avoid personal opinions. I also think finding support about my argument could be a potential challenge with this audience.

My goal when writing this essay is to inform my audience about what a wealth tax is. I also want to inform my audience of the good and the bad. In other words the pros and cons of having a wealth tax. I would like my end result in writing this essay to give my audience information and my personal opinion about a wealth tax. In order for my essay to be successful I feel I will need plenty of research. Also, I think the more accurate and current my information is the better chance I have at this essay being successful. One resource that I think I could use is a graph or a chart showing the income gap between the rich and everyone else. I think this will help reinforce my argument by showing my audience that income equality does exist. Secondly I would want to show the importance of raising money from the wealth tax to help fund things like healthcare, benefits for veterans and to fund education. I feel this will help reinforce my argument also because it could potentially show my audience where the money from a wealth tax would benefit. Lastly, I want to show my audience the general tax Equity structure to show how taxing equity and not every asset a person values is not damaging. The first resource I identified above was to show a graph or chart that shows the income gap between the rich and everyone else. This supporting resource would support the argument that income equality does exist. The second resource that I listed above was to show where the money raised would go towards. This resource supports my key point that a wealth tax could potentially raise money for government funding. My third and last resource identified above was to show my audience and explain to them what an equity structure is. This resource supports my key point that a wealth tax would only tax equity and that by taxing only equity a wealth tax would not be damaging. A part of my essay that would be effectively supported with evidence are my key points

of my essay. To prove income equality is real. To show the benefits of raising money for government funding. Lastly by supporting with evidence why I choose to agree with a wealth tax. By effectively supporting my key points with evidence I believe that my essay will be informative and persuasive. I believe that by sharing my opinion, teaching my audience and making them well aware of the benefits will help my essay be successful....
