English 123- 2-2 Assignment: Writing Notes

1) My Main Points- The First issue that I want to be discussed about major problem’s in the Forensic Psychology field and how it affects the personnel’s in this type of field in their everyday life and careers, is The Ethical Dilemmas in Forensic Psychology. A few serious parts of The Ethical Dilemmas in Forensic Psychology are Misuse of work- All over the world, available ethical codes made attempts to make it unambiguous that the psychology profession must not be misused by psychologists and another other types and kinds of organizations. Under no circumstances, the use of the profession must involve a deprivation of basic human rights, enforced by the American Psychological Association in 2010. My first main point is from the article “Ethical issues across different fields of forensic science” written by author Praveen Kumar Yadav. The Second problem that I want to discussed about in the Forensic Psychology field is there are multiple numbers of problems, issues, and dilemmas that a practicing Forensic Psychologist deals with in his/ her everyday professional careers, with the multiple Ethical issues and problems, juvenile incarcerations, discrimination, profiling, and confidentiality to name a few. My second main point is from the book titled “Forensic Psychology: A very short introduction” written by the Author David V. Cather, published in 2010, in The Oxford University Press.

2) My Key Points- Three key points that are helpful in supporting my argument are Kalmbach, Karen C. and Lyons, Phillip M, say that, these ethical issues must always be given a real close look, paid real special attention, and to try to be fixed. This source is using this evidence to support the argument: Under no circumstances, the use of the profession must involve a deprivation of basic human rights, enforced by the American Psychological Association in 2010. In cases where any violation of ethical codes is discovered, one must try to either resolve the issue or minimize its effect. Also, To determine the competence, we must take into consideration the relative complexity and nature of the service to be provided, relevant training and experience, preparation and study they were able to devote to the matter, and the opportunity for consultation in a particular subject matter area , which all of the rules and guidelines are enforced by the American Psychological Association since 2010. They must avoid misrepresentation of research in any way. Information found in the book titled “Forensic Psychology: A very short introduction” written by the Author David V. Cather, published in 2010, in The Oxford University Press.

3) My Audience- My audience would be most people who are about to or are currently going to further their education and who are about to and are currently going and working towards on getting their Degree and majoring/ minoring in Forensic Psychology and/ or any type of Psychology.

4) My Goal- To get The American Psychological Association whom have the ability to correct and change the current rulings and enacted regulations, to actually start making corrections and changes that are fair to all sides. And, it is important to convince the other side of the argument, that my side of this argument of being against of all of the multiple Ethical issues and problems such as juvenile incarcerations, mental health capability of the accused to stand trial, discrimination, profiling, confidentiality, objectivity, and so many more, is actually truly the correct response to this argument, because the end results of these corrections of rulings and the regulations can affect their quality of service received and how they can be treated from their Psychologist and/ or Forensic Psychologist.

5) The Potential Resources- A couple potential resources that are supporting evidence for my argument, and how they help reinforce my argument. The Article titled “Ethical issues across different fields of forensic science” by Author Praveen Kumar Yadav, Published July 18th, 2017 in The Egypt Journal of Forensic Sciences. A few serious parts of The Ethical dilemmas in Forensic Psychology are Misuse of work- All over the world, available ethical codes made attempts to make it unambiguous that the psychology profession must not be misused by psychologists and another other types/ kind of organizations. Under no circumstances, the use of the profession must involve a deprivation of basic human rights, enforced by the American Psychological Association in 2010. In cases where any violation of ethical codes is discovered, one must try to either resolve the issue or minimize its effect. Competence- It is stated that psychologists must work as per and to the best of their competence boundaries, based on their education, training, supervised experience, consultation, study or professional experience, enforced by the American Psychological Association in 2010. And the book titled “Forensic Psychology: A very short introduction” written by the Author David V. Cather, published in 2010, in The Oxford University Press. Within the Forensic Psychology/ Psychology field is there are multiple numbers of problems, issues, and dilemmas that a practicing Forensic Psychologist deals with in his/ her everyday professional careers, with the multiple Ethical issues and problems, juvenile incarcerations, discrimination, profiling, and confidentiality to name a few. I can easily guess and bet that at least half of them involve ethical questions. Issues and problems such as juvenile incarcerations, mental health capability of the accused to stand trial, discrimination, profiling, confidentiality, objectivity, payment for his service and so many others, come into consideration for the expert in a big way, even the expert’s findings have an contradict personal views. Kalmbach, Karen C. and Lyons, Phillip M, say that, these ethical issues must always be given a real close look, paid real special attention, and to try to be fixed.
