1. The brain compensates for a drug’s high with its own period of low which can be manifested in several psychological effects. Explain how those psychological effects could be dangerous to your classmates in relation to their academic performance. Mental health problems can affect their energy levels, concentration, mental ability, optimism, hindering performance, depression, and anxiety. This can cause them to fail class and have a dramatically massive drop in effort when doing assignments. A lowered concentration can easily cause a student to not understand a certain part of a subject, allowing for failure even after the student attempted to study.

2. Users tend to become more paranoid over time. Explain why this would cause problems for you or a classmate. They might be unable to focus whilst in class, due to fearing of what could happen in the next few minutes. This can impact studying and make them unable to focus as well as they could before, even causing listening issues while talking to somebody. This can also result in being socially isolated from other people and being more suspicious of others.

3. Many addicts report feeling consistently anxious and struggle to stay focused or sit for a long period of time. This behavior often interferes with work performance, relationships, and many other aspects of daily life is called anxiety. Explain how this anxiety could affect a classmate's social wellness at school. A student could be unable to listen to a teacher while they are discussing a subject with the class, causing their grades to most likely lowering as a result. It can cause rifts in relationships due to possible stealing for money to satisfy an addiction. Anxiety can cause physical issues such as a racing heart, fast breathing, tense muscles, sweaty palms, trembling hands/legs and a queasy stomach. Anxiety can also cause sleep disturbance, which can cause sleeping in class; that can result in getting in trouble with the teachers/faculty or cause a student to miss a possibly key concept in class.

Reflection: In a paragraph with 5-6 thoughtful sentences, describe how tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and other drug use can negatively affect your wellness. Tobacco can sadly result in many serious and very life-threatening chronic diseases, such as various cancers, respiratory issue, and just has a negative impact on your life. It can increase plenty of terrible issues but also cause bad breath, a smell of smoke on your clothes, ruin how your teeth look, cause various lung issues, weakens your immune system. It is also filled with more than 70 cancer causing chemicals, such as formaldehyde, naphthalene, toluene, and lead. Ingesting alcohol can cause depression or aggression in some cases, causing relationships to begin failing, possible colleges being thrown out of the window, being sued due to not being able to think straight, or even being taken advantage of due to the intoxication. Along with the other things listed, marijuana can impair you brain, cause lung inflammation/irritation, serious addiction, anxiety, seizures, and stuff muscles from muscle spasms. Al of these can possibly ruin your life, cause health problems, emotional issues, sleep disorders, and much more. All of this is not at all worth the momentary feeling of pleasure this can cause so the risks should be known when using all of the drugs listed....
