Topic: Drafting of the U.S constitution Hello, Everyone A historical lens can make a major difference in the way one looks at the historical topic. For instance, a social-historical lens could suggest a greater comprehension of societal issues in drafting the U.S constitution. Similarly, a political-historic lens might reveal more insights into governmental issues leading to the drafting of the U.S constitution. Meanwhile, an economic-

historical lens allows us to gain insight into the economic situation at the time of the drafting of the U.S constitution.

My secondary source article written, by Benjamin E Park, is a book review on The Framers’ Coup: The Making of the United States Constitution written, by Michael J Klarman.

The tone of the author’s commentary on political issues led me to conclude that this secondary source article was written through a political-historical lens. According to the article (Parker, 2018), "Given the development in American historiography, it was time for a synthesis that covered the years between the Treaty of Paris and the implementation of a new government.” What also led me to believe that the article was writing in a political-historical lens was when (Parker, 2018) states, “The Framers' Coup is mostly organized chronologically, with chapters on the conditions that facilitated a conservative revolution, the debates at the convention, and the battles between Federalists and Antifederalists.”
