RTO entry requirements

All students must partake part in an interview with the lecturer. Clients may be required to take part in an online LLN test. All clients need to ensure they have their own transport to the location of the course on the days they will be required to attend set class dates and times. Clients will need to have access to technology and or a workplace which relates to this qualification.

There are limited entry requirements for this qualification however there are preferred pathways of entry for candidates considering this qualification.  a year 10 WASE or equivalent  BSB10115 Certificate I in Business  Previse vocational learners experience may also be considered

Information to client Pre-enrolment information

Per enrolment for the qualification is provided prior enrolment to the client. Student information pack are available in online or hard copy. Information pack to include:  orientation information  client needs summary  code of conduct for students / learner  campus map  timetables of class days  lecturer contact information  brief summary of the course outline  ordered list of units being delivered

Enrolment information

All clients will receive their orientation pack on the pre-arranged day by the lecturer. Clients will need to go through an orientation in the library and blackboard. Clients will be given a tour of the campus Learners are provided with information on RPL and Credit Transfer during preenrolment and enrolment. This information is also available on the Central Regional TAFE website. Learners can request for RPL if they have already attained the necessary skills and competencies elsewhere such as through work or other study. They will be provided with the relevant RPL documentation by the course lecturer. Learners, who can demonstrate they already hold any of the units of competency specified for this course, may be eligible to receive a credit transfer for those units. They will need to submit a Certificate or Statement of Attainment issued by an RTO which will be verified by Central Regional TAFE. Refer to Central Regional TAFE’s Policy and Procedure for Recognition of Prior Learning for further information on the RPL process.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Organisation of Training

The amount of training required for BSB20115 Certificate II in Business for a ‘standard learner’ in this client group is determined by:  Breadth and complexity of knowledge/skills (Certificate II)  Characteristics and current knowledge and skills of learners of the target learner group (in regard to computing, the skills vary according to past experience with technology and varies over age groups –ie school-leavers have been conversant to computer technology throughout their schooling).  Mode of delivery Changes to the ‘standard’ amount of training will be made for individual learners based on:  Previous experience  Units already achieved  Gap training and/or assessment  Learning skills  Identified learning and support needs Changes to the amount of training for an individual may be made for the entire qualification or for individual units/unit clusters. Resources Resource requirements

The student has the choice of working from a hard–copy learning guide or online resources. All computer units use hard-copy texts and extra resources are given to the student as well as suggested websites. Note: Detailed specifications of resources required at a unit of competency level are addressed in the Assessment Plans for individual units of competency. This includes resources provided by the RTO and those provided by the learner.

Workplace arrangements Workplace training and assessment

Students, where applicable, may be observed in a work placement completing specific tasks and this will be negotiated with both the work place and assessor prior.
