Description

Sternberg’s Love Triangle  Intimacy: the experiences of warmth toward another person that arises from feelings of closeness, bondedness, and connectedness to the other. Intimacy also involves the desire to give and receive emotional support and to share one’s innermost thoughts with the other.

 Passion: an intense romantic or sexual desire for another person, which is accompanied by physiological arousal

In the long term there is the issue of one’s willingness to make a commitment to maintain the relationship through good times and bad. Although decision rarely precedes commitment, some become committed to a relationship before they even decide whether they love the other person. Others, however, never make a lasting commitment or openly acknowledge loving the other person.
