Overview This is an individual assignment. It is possible to think of passing this subject as a project that needs to be completed.  This assignment is in two (2) parts. Using the provided templates, show how the ten (10) PMBoK areas are relevant to passing this subject.  This is a reflective assignment. We want to read about what you think.  Mere documentation of what you might find on “the web”, in the lecture notes or from talking to other students will attract VERY LOW marks.

Audience You are creating two parts for this assignment for yourself and for the lecturer and tutor: 1. The first part is a project management plan to propose how you intend to approach passing this course and what you expect from it. 2. The second part at the end of the course is to reflect and report on what and how things worked out (or didn’t work out) with regard to the plan you prepared in the first part. What lessons have been learnt and what you might do differently on your next project.

Fill in the provided template so that you prepare your report.



Upload your document, fully referenced, in PDF format via Turnitin on CANVAS by the due date. Note that  Hints are available in the assignment templates.  The use of a template results in very high similarity values in turnitin. Therefore, details of the turnitin results will be checked. Turnitin scores relating to the use of the template will ignored.  We expect to see at least 5 refereed publications in the References section of part 1, together with citations to them within the assignment.

Part 2. Part 2 is due in week 12. It is designed to be a reflection of the complete subject and therefore should be written after the subject work is complete. We expect you to use your diary from assignment 2 to assist with the content. Again, we have provided a template for you. We would like to know what you have learnt. How did your expectations (plan) match reality? What could you have done differently? What do you suggest that we do differently?

Important Notes: You are expected to follow the University policy and guidelines regarding plagiarism. Marks  The two deliverables are worth 45% of the overall subject mark.  The mark will be split with 25% for part 1 and 20% for part 2. Format Both your deliverables need to be in PDF format and based on the templates provided. Please check your deliverables carefully once you have created the PDF output – for example, it is all too easy to lose page numbers or the left or right side of a page. Due Date Part one is due in week 7 (by 11:59 PM Tuesday April 12th, 2021). Part two is due in week 12 (by 11:59 PM Sunday May 23rd, 2021). Late submissions of assignments will incur a penalty as explained in the subject outline. An extension in the time of submission will only be granted under exceptional circumstances by the subject coordinator. In all cases, supporting evidence must be provided for the request to be considered and the request should be received by the subject coordinator BEFORE the assignment is due.
