Today in life and learning I watched the movie Inside Out, a movie about Riley’s emotions inside her. The emotions are joy, sadness, anger, fear, and disgust. I am going to compare two

characters from the movie: Joy and Sadness. Joy is always wanting to make Riley happy, and she is always trying to make everything positive and never think of the negative in a situation. In the mood meter, majority of the time joy would be in the top right corner. The top right corner is where everything is happy, lively, motivated, and upbeat. Although joy is joyful, sometimes she can be other emotions as well, but she is mostly happy. Next, sadness is not trying to make Riley sad, but she does point out some of the negative in a situation. She also uses empathy to make people feel better, and relates to people’s problems instead of trying to make it seem better by saying things like “at least you’re not….”. On the mood meter, sadness would be at the bottom right corner where it is glum, down, and drained. The memories that triggered me until now was the loss of my pet dog. It was a very bad day when I lost my dog. My pet was very faithful and always there by my side. I like my pet dog so much. I never leave him alone. He is my one of the best friends until then he passed away. The happy memories that we shared together with my pet dog made me feel better. Every time I remember it flashes back all the happy thoughts at the first day when my mother gives him to me as a birthday present. I always care him and we always play together with my siblings. This was my unforgettable memories of joy and happiness that I will be treasured forever. Based on the movie “Inside Out,” Yes! It gives a happy ending. Inside Out reminds us to embrace the wholeness of ourselves, give ourselves permission to not be “okay,” and that we have to give those around us a chance to work through their emotional realizations. It's not about trying to avoid uncomfortable feelings but rather go towards them to get honest with ourselves and grow....
