UC Business School/UC Careers BSNS299 – CV Assessment Guidelines Assessment purpose and outcomes The purpose of this assessment is to prepare a CV that is appropriate and of a suitable standard for applying for employment. This assessment addresses the learning outcomes below: • •
Understand how a range of personal and professional activities can contribute to future employment Articulate how their skills and attributes may be applied in the workplace in both written and oral form
CV instructions This assessment involves preparing a Curriculum Vitae (CV) using the CVs and Applications Tool on UC Career Centre. 1. 2. 3. 4.
Follow the advice and guidance in the tool to build a new CV or develop your existing CV. Download your completion report and submit the pdf to LEARN Use the CV360 automated CV checker to assess your CV Follow any recommendations made until you achieve a score of 85% or higher. Scores below 85% will not pass. 5. Take a screen shot of the score (including your name) and submit this to LEARN.
This assessment is graded as pass/fail. For step by step instructions on how to complete this assessment please refer to the BSNS299 LEARN page.
Submission guidelines The CV will be developed using the CVs and Applications Tool on UC Career Centre. Due date: 29 March at 12noon The CV provides the basis to develop your other portfolio resources therefore the due date for this assessment is 29 March. Unlike the other BSNS299 assessment items the CV assessment only has ONE due date and you must submit the assessment by this date.
