Discussion Board & Appointment Requests Due to the lack of in-person classes and office hours, active discussion board monitoring has been substituted as an opportunity for students to have discussions with their classmates and lecturer. Discussion boards will be actively monitored during periods mentioned at the beginning of the syllabus and will be periodically attended to by lecturers. Students are also encouraged to reach out to their lecturers should they have additional needs. Participation in the discussion board is voluntary. However, you can get bonus points by sharing your idea about how the concept learned that week is used in any organization/industry. It is worth 2% bonus in total (Note: One concept per week and four weeks in total). It is important to note that you must submit the discussion board posts during the week for which you are writing your discussion board post, for example if you are writing on how Business analytics are used, it must be done within week 5.

Individual RPA & Tableau Lab Reports ● ●

During the term students will be guided to do lab exercises These reports are to be completed and submitted individually to LEARN

Team Assignment The focus of the team assignment this year will be on exploring the strategy and tactical implementation of IT for enterprise use through methodologies such as robotic process automation (RPA) through automation anywhere and the use of business intelligence tools such as Tableau. This will be a two-part team assignment, the first focusing on the creation and implementation of a bot using Automation Anywhere, the second part to prepare a data-driven report and decision using Tableau. The project has an optional peer evaluation component that can affect individual students’ grades. Should any significant teamwork issues arise, see your instructor as soon as the issue occurs, not after the assignment has been evaluated. See details below (under Course and SAF policies - Peer evaluated contribution & effect on the mark).

Team Assignment - Peer evaluated contribution & effect on the mark You will be using online software to evaluate the contribution of individual teammates in this project. The assessment of your contribution by your teammates (% score) will affect your individual score on an assignment. • If your assessed contribution is 80% or above (≥ 80) you will receive all the points that the team received. • If it is below 80% (...
