Introduction The agile usually begins with minor teams that focus on different parts to a complete system. It is necessary to develop enduring, cross-functional teams that help in managing the delivery of a value in a specific value stream. The main objective of developing an Agile Release Train (ART) is to bring values that balance at the business level. This can be achieved by forming multiple agile teams that consist of team members who are experts in implementing, testing, organizing and release to create software, hardware, firmware for an organization. There can typically be 50-125 people who work together and plays an important role in the Agile Release Train (ART) system.

Defining the Agile Release Train An agile release train is a pre-release cycle process that has been precisely planned into different phases that includes the individual projects or BAU release teams that must follow to ensure the implementation of the release. It is very important to align the release teams because certain changes could impact the other areas of the company besides their system changes that require the use of shared System Integration Testing (SIT) working environment. The agile team needs a length of 10 months to plan and integrate to set up the release trains. After the creation of these trains, they decided to communicate with different departments in pre-planned and issue them on a release schedule. It is necessary to publish the release trains in advance because it will allow diverse commercial and expertise to design and book in their publications and fluctuations so that need and impact assessment events take place.

Significant Values of the Agile Release Train The agile release train operates based on a set of common principles that include: 

Fixed Schedule: According to program increment (PI) cadence, an agile release trains design and distribute the work on a fixed schedule. There will be 8- 12 weeks in this program increment. If the existing PI does not have any project or design planned in it, then it will not begin until the next one occurs. New system increments bi-weekly: Each train brings an introduction of a new system increment bi-weekly and it is known as system increments. Fixed PI time box: To preserve the agile release trains united, it is essential to synchronize the equal PI length and function on the same list by all the agile teams. The train has known velocity: Each train can consistently evaluate the amount of work that needs to be delivered in a single PI and plan its capabilities systematically. 2

Agile Teams: It is necessary to have a high-performing agile team. They comprise individuals having a broad set of skills that are necessary to effectively complete the task from their backlog. They have the responsibilities and duties to ensure high-quality engineering practices and to facilitate continuous mentoring for building an environment where the team can work together. The agile teams include cross-functional, stable and autonomous. Dedicated people: Most people in the agile release train are devoted full time to keep the constancy and sustainability of the release train. Face-to-face PI planning: The agile release train shows its work regularly by having faceto-face PI planning events. Innovation and Planning (IP): Innovation and Planning generates a shield for estimating and devoted time for the planning of PI. Inspect and Adapt (I&A): This set of principles is commonly held at the end of each PI. According to the structure and problem-solving workshop, the team and management identify the backlog for improvement. Build on cadence and release on demand: The ART creates fixed cadences to assist in alleviating the variability intrinsic in building new possessions. But, to act fast it is necessary to decouple from the development cadence.

Values to the organization The main aim of building an agile release train for an organization is to reduce risk and find important solutions for the problems. As there are more expert members in the release train, it will help to bring value to the organization. The agile release train is typically the virtual organization that consists of these high-performing teams who will assist in defining, delivering and operating the solution for the business. The agile release train will break down the traditional functional organization into a cross-functional organization. The cross-functional organizational structure is comprised of 5-11 members who are devoted to their full time. This will eliminate the hands-off and delays that pushing value through silos causes. By having the agile release train, the organization can achieve certain advantages such as:   



It will increase customer satisfaction and bring achieved business results for the organization. It will deliver high quality and maximum flexibility to the organization. This will also boost innovation in the business by strengthening the core capabilities to exceed customer demands and opportunities while monitoring the path to the future business. The agile release train will also help to increase productivity and improve employee engagement. By using the agile release train, it will help to ensure the best practices for building highquality components and solutions for an organization.

Conclusion The agile release train (ART) is therefore an extended process having an individual team that plans, obligates and accomplishes together. There will be high-performing agile team members who work on a similar product, but diverse portions of it. The agile release train gives the biggest priorities to the organization and brings value in an accelerated and predictable way. Through the integration of the best technology and procedures will bring a fully functional release train. The organizations that establish the agile teams into the agile release trains will connect business approach to team level delivery and minimize costs by restraining re-work and giving importance to more valuable work at the start and making better decisions for the benefit of the organization.
