. Amazon’s competitive strategy is their global market and innovation in online retailing which gives them competitive advantage over other companies. They are the first online book seller which they have started in 1994. Amazon started Kindle Direct Publishing which allowed authors to publish their books on Amazon website and earn larger revenue. Fulfillment y Amazon is another innovation made to provide the sellers to ship goods to Amazon warehouse for stocking, packaging, and shipment. Another Amazon’s competitive advantage is it seeks to differentiate itself by providing a

huge array of goods at very good prices .Amazon has achieved such a massive scale that it gets the best prices possible from its vendors so they can operate on a razor-thin margin and still make money on each transaction. They also have shipping down, they have shipping warehouses around the country as well as deals with UPS and the USPS giving them a shipping edge Amazon began as an online bookstore. They have made substantial progress considering today they have got their hands on anything and everything from online retailing to technological infrastructure development. You can find any product on amazon online. They have created an online platform for retailers of all sorts to sell wide range of goods. They have their own retail line themselves. But they did not stop just there; instead they entered every market possible. They introduced their own kindle devices in the market, Fire TV, Amazon video and just recently, they introduced Amazon Go which is a physical marketplace. From the explanation we can say that the Amazon’s greatest competitive strategy is to keep developing and adapting to the market In addition to this, one can purchase anything on amazon with a click of a button. They also introduced Amazon Prime where one can receive their shipment within 2 days of the order which leads to their other competitive strategy which is customers’ convenience. I believe Amazon Prime is what keeps amazon on the top over other online retailers such as Alibaba.com or Ebay.com. Lastly, Amazon’s retailing business operates at a very thin profit margin. Products are sold at a discount from the stated retail price and this leads to their third and final competitive strategy i.e., low cost....
