A slimming programme called Dropweight claims to help with weight loss. The extract below is taken from an advert promoting the programme: ‘The Dropweight programme is the best way to lose weight quickly. Over 90% of people who took part in the programme reported loss of weight in one day’. Suggest why this extract might be misleading to member of the public who want to lose weight. [2 marks] Any two from: Doesn’t tell you about weight loss over long term or that one day is too short to measure weight loss. Doesn't tell you how many people were in the experiment or the sample size. Might not be the best way. / What evidence is there that it is the best way? Weight loss in one day could be due to other factors. Not enough data/measurements of weight.
