DXTR1109

I tried the DXTR2109 but there is no planned order (PldOrd)

14

STEP 9: CONVERT PLANNED ORDER INTO PRODUCTION ORDER Determine the status of your order by clicking on. What does this mean? 

Upon clicking the status button, it will direct you to the status of your planned order. When we converted the planned order into a production order, the system automatically assigns a settlement rule to the production order. Availability check was automatically made, and a reservation was placed on the materials specified within the bill of materials. The order was also automatically released when the production order was created.

Total qty: 849

STEP 10: RECEIVE GOODS IN INVENTORY

I was startled when I accidentally clicked the first item, then when I go back, the first screenshot appeared. Thankfully, nothing bad happened.

17

STEP 11: ISSUE GOODS TO PRODUCTION ORDER

18

STEP 12: REVIEW PRODUCTION ORDER STATUS

19

STEP 13: CONFIRM PRODUCTION COMPLETION

20

STEP 14: RECEIVE GOODS FROM PRODUCTION ORDER

21

STEP 15: REVIEW COSTS ASSIGNED TO PRODUCTION ORDER Now that the finished products have been received in the Inventory, the Manufacturing Output Settlement Variance has been added. How is this figure calculated by the system? 

After subtracting Standard cost (standard rate * standard quantity) and Actual cost (actual rate * actual quantity), the manufacturing output settlement variation was calculated. It compares the cost of products produced to the budgeted expectations. It compares the actual overhead costs per unit to the predicted or budgeted overhead expenses per item.

22

STEP 16: SETTLE COSTS OF PRODUCTION ORDER

23

Note The manufacturing output settlement is higher than the consumption expenses for raw materials and semi-finished goods? Review and explain the expenses and the settlements of your production order in detail. How is the balance derived?

The manufacturing output settlement is higher than the consumption expenses for raw materials and semi-finished goods. The sum of raw materials and semifinished goods is 356,319.5 while the manufacturing output settlement is 621,510.45. The consumption expense (labor, 84.90) will be deducted. Their balance would be 977,745.05.

Learning Snacks:

Learning reflection: This case study is a bit difficult compared to the previous case studies (SD & MM). Steps 1 and 2 are quite easy to finish since our professor told us that even if we commit a mistake, it wouldn't affect the subsequent steps. I was hesitant if the data I was entering were correct or not so I became meticulous. I also noted the important details our professor told us during the discussion so that when I work on the PP case study, I wouldn't make a lot of mistakes. Fortunately, I was able to finish it without any major problem. I finished the whole PP case study for only one and a half days because one of the things that I learned through this activity is to do your homework/tasks as early as possible so that your tasks wouldn’t pile up because that would be stressful. So I always make sure that if I have a lot of spare time, I would do the case study and finished it so that I could move on to the other one. With this, I’m being productive and efficient in managing my time, and I also have time to rest after finishing it. Going back, from steps 3 to 5, nothing unfortunate happened; It was smooth sailing. On the other hand, I encountered a connectivity problem when I reached step 8, so I decided to stop and continue working on it tomorrow morning, which I did. When I continued working on it, I made sure that I will finish it so that I can move on to the other case study. The only step I encountered a problem with is on step 11 where a screen popped up saying that there is a deficit. So I immediately approached my professor via messenger to ask what should I do. He told me to adjust it, but I was confused at first as to what step I should go back to. But I tried to adjust the quantities on the current step (step 11) and I clicked “post” and it worked. I was really happy at that time. There was a time also that I accidentally clicked something when I was in step 10 (page 17), but I am grateful that nothing bad happened and I was able to move on to the next step. On steps 5, 9, 15, & 16 there are questions I was able to answer (refer to pages 9, 15, 22, & 24, respectively). Furthermore, I answered the learning snacks and it’s funny because there were two items where I answered wrong but the system wanted us to answer them correctly. Every after a stressful following of instructions, answering learning snacks would bring you a fun experience. That’s one thing I also realized in

doing this case study. To always not stress yourself out and be serene at all times even if you are under pressure. Lastly, one thing I learned in this case study is how important it is for businesses to have an effective SAP system, especially those big companies. I realized how fast and efficient it is if they utilize SAP in their company; it will provide them with accurate and reliable information. Also, it is not time-consuming and only requires minimal effort, the only thing they need to do is to be knowledgeable on how to navigate and use SAP....
