Advanced Enhanced Oil Recovery Assignment 4 Due Date: 18/2/2021 1) In a gas injection project, two candidates are available for injection to reservoir A. One of them is gas from a neighboring field (Foroozan field) and the other one is CO2. Following tables show data obtained from slip tube tests.
Following tables show results of oil swelling factor measurement during injection of gases to the sample oil. If the reservoir pressure is 2500 psi, which gas will you select for the injection?
2) Assume that a reservoir that is to be flooded with a condensing-gas process is at 150°F. The average molecular weight of the C5+ fraction of the reservoir oil is 200. A displacement gas is available with the composition 60 mol% CH4, 30 mol% C3H8, and 10 mol% C4H10. The maximum pressure at which the displacement can be conducted is 2,000 psia. Determine whether miscibility can be achieved at the specified conditions. (Hint: Use correlation graphs I presented in MMP section) 3) Solve problem 6.4 from the book 4) Solve problem 6.13 from the book 5) Solve problem 6.22 from the book (In this problem to calculate mobility ratio, you need to know the viscosity of the solvent. Search for appropriate correlation to estimate the viscosity.) 6) Read section 6-12 of the SPE book. In this section different gas injections projects are discussed. (No need to submit any report, it is just to improve your practical knowledge)...
