If we compare the countries with higher income with the countries with lower income, lower income countries present more inequality than the countries with higher income, because even though the richer countries also present income inequality comparing the different years, the poorest countries, present inequality at a higher scale due to the increased growth over the time.

SPAIN 2018: decile 10= 14332, decile 1= 1483. 14332/1484= 9.65 2014: decile 10= 28347, decile 1= 1957. 28347/1957= 14.48 In Spain, from 1980, y to 2014, income has increased, specially in the highest decile. Income inequality has also increased similarly with the richest countries (as we can see in the first table) I choose to compare Switzerland with Burundi. Switzerland, in 1980, at its lowest decile, presented an income of 5546, and in 2014, of 6689. On the other hand, Burundi, in 1980, at its highest decile, presented an income of 1326, and in 2014, of 1630. We can conclude that there is a high-income inequality, because Switzerland has a much higher income at its lowest decile, than Burundi at its highest. A country that surprised me was China, since in it’s a country that has increased its income exponentially, being in 1980 the highest decile 520$ and, in 2014, 18.689$.

I believe that it is totally unfair that the Italian scientists were condemned, and therefore it would also be unfair to condemn the economists who failed to forecast the 2008 recession. Forecasting, depends on an exogenous variable which means, that these are variables whose cause is external to the model and whose role is to explain outcomes or other variables. So, failing to predict a phenomenon (like an earthquake or a crisis), is not a reason to sentence anyone, as it can be due to applying the wrong data or the exogenous variable. As said before, when an economic model makes an incorrect forecast, it can be due to applying the wrong data, or other external factors, and this doesn’t mean that the model is wrong,...
