1. In your own words, what are quickbreads?  Quick breads are breads that are quick or easy to make and it is not that time consuming unlike other breads that needs to follow the steps in doing it. Quick breads is any bread leavened with leavening agents other that yeast or eggs 2. What are the different mixing method in making quickbreads? 

Muffin Method - Usually used for the batter type of quick breads.



Cake Method - This method is used for the richer muffins. The shortening is creamed, the sugar stirred in, then the beaten egg added. The rest of the dry ingredients are mixed and sifted and added gradually to the first mixture alternately with the liquid.



Biscuit Method - The dry ingredients are mixed and sifted and the shortening cut in with knives or worked in with the tips of the fingers. Biscuits should be flaky tobe characterized as biscuit.
