Usain Bolt is moving in the positive direction in 10-meter increments. Due to the fact that Usain Bolt is moving in the positive direction, the velocity will always be positive.

Time (s)
To begin, Usain Bolt starts moving in the positive direction. Because of the velocity increasing, it directly correlates with acceleration and acceleration will also be positive. However, at 6 ½ seconds the velocity begins to decrease, so in this case the acceleration will be negative. At the next 10-meter increment, Usain bolt begins to speed back up and the acceleration moves in the positive direction again. At the last 10-meter mark the velocity stays the same, meaning acceleration is now at 0.

Time (s)
Usain bolt started this race with first 20 meters at a positive acceleration, meaning that velocity is increasing which means that Usain Bolt was speeding up. At the 20 to 30-meter mark Usain Bolts acceleration declines which shows that velocity decreases meaning he was slowing down. Now at the 50 to 60-meter mark Usain Bolt is now moving in the negative direction so because it shows that decline in the negative direction it means that velocity increases. At the 70-meter increment acceleration is back to increasing and so velocity is decreasing and then when acceleration decreases again the velocity then increases again....
