Balance Data Report Abstract Sample text Introduction Many different factors can influence balance including which leg is dominant and the bodies equilibrium and senses such as vision. These topics were tested at Murdoch University with a balance experiment involving a sample size of 18 students with tests interrupting dominant leg balance, vision and the bodies’ equilibrium. This was done by making the subject switch legs throughout, closing their eyes and leaning their head back respectively. Methods A sample size of 18 students were instructed to stand one their dominant leg and attempt to stand up without falling for 30 seconds, if they made 30 seconds this was marked as 30 but if they made any less than that number would be marked to the nearest number to zero decimal places. This test was repeated with your eyes closed and then repeated yet again but with the subject’s head leaned backwards. This test was repeated a total of 6 times, with half on the dominant leg and half on the nondominant leg. Results in the graphs below you can see how the dominant and non-dominant leg barely created a difference in the balance of individuals
