Executive Summary Facebook is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues. The market is growing with more and more businesses focusing on using their brand to promote it on the social media page to grab the audiences’ attention. Facebook is worldwide with a stunning number of users getting a little over 1.59 billion user accounts. This is a great opportunity for both small and large businesses to use this to take advantage and make their brand grow over the market for a little fee. Our conclusion is that there are increasing high volumes of interaction between both the user and the business since the launch of Facebook back in 2004. This is heavily based on the interviews given by a survey consisting of fifteen questions per student to focus on a certain answer that is comparable between all interviewees. Analysis of the data revealed benefits in three categories:  Amount of Facebook Users: There is an astonishing 1.59 billion users registered with Facebook, today. In comparison to Instagram having 45% Male and 55% Female users, Facebook has 55% Male and 45% Female users. With this said, Facebook still expects to increase to over 3 billion users by the next couple years.  Facebook B2B and B2C expected growth: With the technology we have today, it is possible to make one thing appear around the world within minutes. Facebook expects to have a even bigger audience with the big business industry promoting more ads to the consumer to reach out more customer relations.  Promotions from businesses leads to higher customer involvement: With Facebook Ads, you choose the type of people you want to reach and we deliver your ads to them. This makes your ads more relevant for the people who see them and brings you real results. The ad posted will be reached by many people because Facebook has over 900 million users every day.

Introduction This study was designed to analyze how Facebook users may interact with the business world. We gathered data about the demographics of Facebook users, number of new Facebook profiles, business interaction among big businesses such as Apple, Nike and Chipotle, and audience engagement. Precisely, the study pursues to answer these following questions:  Who is using Facebook?  What are the expected daily active users?  Which social media is the strongest and most active?

Background Professor Shari Weiss at the College of Business at San Francisco State University appointed this study of Facebook for Business. While researching and directing our data, a survey was conducted about Business for Facebook consisting of fifteen questions that tied closely to how business professionals show their “face” on Facebook on a daily basis. The purpose of the survey was to gather and sort information and data from Facebook users to find out their involvement and opinions of how strong these businesses show what their product is and how great they make the product stand out. Facebook is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues. The site, which is available in 37 different languages, includes public features such as market place, create events, and groups. The website platform is popular amongst all ages ranging from seven years old all the way to eighty. The results also revealed that many people agreed that the ads on Facebook for Business do help with their daily lives. The promotions that come with the ad help the business by driving in customers with the deals being offered. Most of the people I interviewed used Facebook as a personal type of social media rather than what the business professionals use it.

Problem or Purpose The purpose of this study is to illustrate how large businesses use Facebook for advertisement on a daily basis to promote their brand awareness. Significance This report is important because it informs companies on how they can stay competitive in our increasingly globalizing business environments. Scope To summarize the conclusion of having a successful business from using Facebook to promote a brand with the use of advertisement, we considered the data of demographics, features, and results of interviews to answer the question; “Do Facebook ads help drive big business”? Organization The formation of the report will focus on discussing the positive correlations with demographics, features, implementing ads from big businesses to drive in their business showing how when having an advertisement being seen by many people on a social media page, an increase in business may be seen by that certain company. Furthermore, create a more universally friendly mobile service that may help drive in more users on the social media page. These factors listed above contribute to the main purpose.

Findings

Facebook makes bounteous amounts of money from advertisement Facebook as of today, is the biggest social media website out there. It has a stunning record of over 1.5 billion users and many of those users are businesses using Facebook primary for its advertisement. In figure 1, the image shows just how much Facebook makes from advertisement. They expect to make over $11 billion in 2017. The Rise of Facebook Advertisement Agencies Many people advertise their brand on social media, preferably Facebook. In Figure 2 below, it shows a pie chart that has different categories from a study involving 192 countries, showing retail as the number one way of showing the advertisement coming from Facebook. When Looking at is closely, is Facebook the only website dominating the media? Advertisements are the key factor to the revenue for Facebook, but is Facebook the online site that drives in advertisements? Actually, no. The number one website that is dominating the internet as of today. Figure 3 shows how every year, Facebook is being dominated by Google, expect 2011.
